What Is The Reason Behind My Growing Midsection

July 28, 2010

Someone who does an hours worth of crunches daily might be surprised that their midsection keeps growing. They don’t know what they are doing wrong.

It is nothing new for someone to be disgusted with the bulge around their middle. A person can find a way to shrink their belly if they want.

Exercise experts agree that most people, when it comes to losing belly fat, do the wrong thing because they saw an infomercial touting the greatest six pack ab exercise program as the only way they can shrink their waist size and it can be done in just minutes a day. People think they are doing there stomach good. They’re right. The muscles in their gut are getting stronger.

But despite the work they still have a big belly. Despite their work it is the wrong way to do that. Doing this activity can have positive effects on a person. The red faced work he’s putting in will benefit his circulation a tad.

The physical activity will help keep a person more alert. A person will also build a stronger stomach to use for something.

Unfortunately it won’t help make your stomach any smaller. What is the reason? This is because he is exercising his belly muscles but doing nothing about the actual fat that’s packed above those muscles. And as everybody knows, you can train muscle, but you can’t train fat.

There are a million websites out there that give people helpful, factual information about the differences between lean muscle tissue and bodily fat, and yet every day, thousands of people continue to sit up and crunch up or whatever, in the erroneous belief that these exercises will somehow work off that belly flab and help them to lose weight fast. The bottom line is that despite all the effort, it does not work.

Not everyone takes this to heart and are still convinced they are doing the right thing.

The plain and unadorned fact, and this is backed up by many people who post to message boards like the biggest loser weight loss forum, is that to lose body fat and to lose it steadily, efficiently, and effectively you need to do some kind of full-body workout like explosive exercises that are performed in a circuit, or interval training, or high intensity interval training, or effective aerobic work like sprints or rope jumping.

Many people will do their ab work. That is followed by their evening constitutional. It is usually a leisurely stroll. A person should try to do some running in between their walking.

Then take a minute or two of strolling. Keep up the sprints at regular intervals as you walk. By exercising like this a person can do something about their bulging waistline. Instead of doing all of those sit ups, it is possible to get results by using this technique.

The fact is that fat loss is fat loss. By doing the right types of exercise that are good at lowering the fat in your body, all parts of your body benefit not just your midsection. Try to reduce your overall fat.

By paying attention to your whole body, you will see your waistline shrink too. The idea of an ab routine is fine when it is balanced with other things. You can trim your waist if you do some strong aerobic exercises on a regular basis.

People are built differently. While someone might be able to get in shape through a diet and light exercise plan, someone else will do it through weightlifting. If you’re doing the right thing, you’ll lose belly fat regardless.

People should be aware of one more thing. For someone who has a bigger waistline, they shouldn’t try and change it to please anyone else. A person is not defined by the size of their belly. In the end it is how you feel on the inside that should matter the most.
