Strict Measures To Tackle The Issue Of Obesity In Schools

July 13, 2010

Our children’s colleges are making a contribution to obesity in schools. Some colleges have a programme addressing our kid’s weight, but however, our kids are becoming fatter, and more unfit. There are six reasons behind this malice of obesity in schools made by our schools and colleges.

6 Reasons :

one. Some schools permit scholars to eat and drink in the corridor or study room.

2. Schools teachers use food as incentive, or as a reward.

Three. In a number of cases food is used at college fund raising.

Four. Schools are using a-la-cart programs, suggesting yes they’re serving fish with green beans, but we have pepperoni pizza available 5 days every week.

Five. To get some money, varsities have added vending machines in the refrectory, enticing students away from fruit, and directing them to soda and chocolates and chips.

Six. As a budget savings, some varsities are lowering wants in physical education and health classes.

I’ve a child who just finished the first grade. Her main moan about the high school lunches was the lunches are hardly interesting. I don’t blame her. Casting backwards at the lunch menus, it was actually the same menu week on week. Then she smiles and asserts “at least there’s pizza I can get.” a little change from week to week would be sweet.
